Fresh Starts: Beginning Again with Intention
January always feels like a blank page. A chance to pause, reset, and step forward with new clarity. I’m coming into this year with joy still in my spirit — last year, I published the Unapologetically Healing Journal, and that was a milestone I’m deeply proud of. To celebrate life, I also took a beautiful holiday cruise with my Book — Book, where we laughed, explored Honduras and Belize, soaked in ocean therapy, and watched more karaoke than I probably have in my lifetime. Those moments of joy reminded me that beginnings aren’t just about work — they’re also about rest, celebration, and play.
Fresh starts aren’t about perfection or fixing everything at once. They’re about intention. About asking, what do I really want more of this year? For me, it’s peace, balance, and moments that matter.
Reflections for January:
What do I want to carry forward from last year’s lessons and joys?
Where can I bring more intention and less urgency?
How do I want to feel by the end of this year?
Fresh starts are always possible. January just reminds us we don’t need permission to begin again.
